Learning to See:  Value Stream Mapping Future State

I need your help again!!  I believe we are convinced that Lean Manufacturing can help our business.  Now that I have my Current State VSM, what do I do?  Well, tonight I will show you a method of reviewing your Current State Map, recognizing the waste and start planning improvements.  If you have a Current State Map that you would like to bring, please do.  We will learn the philosophies of Value Stream Mapping and the important steps to SEE waste and create a plan to eliminate it!

The exercise is the second of two parts.  Tonight, we will learn how to identify areas of waste and develop a Future State Value Stream Map.  We will review the highlights of Current State VSM technique, and ask each table to identify areas of waste and give examples of how to reduce/eliminate those wastes.

You did not have to attend the first session to participate and gain insight to Value Stream Mapping.
