Nippon Electric Glass strives to build a brighter future
for the world by uncovering the unlimited possibilities of glass for more advanced creative manufacturing. Headquartered in Japan, our goal is to become the world’s leading manufacturer of
special glass, with the best talent, the best technology, and the best creative manufacturing ability. We strive to run our company in a way that inspires pride among our workers and enables us to
make a genuine contribution to the community. The way we see it, creative manufacturing is achieved through state-of-the-art technological development, the highest quality standards, efficient
production, and a steady supply of products, all underpinned by a fundamental dedication to environmental sustainability.
The Lexington Plant started production in May of 1967 making fiber glass for the textile industry with PPG Industries. For over 50 years the location was an industry leader for textile yarns in
several different product lines. Purchased by Nippon Electric Glass in September 2017, the operation now serves the reinforcement business with direct rovings and chopped strands. The plant utilizes
its 260 employees (both NEG and contract) in conjunction with top manufacturing technology and automation to serve its customer base.
As a reminder, HPMA meetings encourage learning, networking, and collaboration, but solicitation of business is
prohibited at all times.
Cost for this dinner event is $25 per person. To register, please contact Bridgett Roach at the Lexington Area
